Reboot your phone
Dial #932#
Perform the steps below when at a fixed location like a restaurant or a parking lot. It dose not need to do so while driving or in motion.
*Make sure turning off WiFi
- Go to Settings > Cellular >Turn off Cellular Data
- Wait for 2 minutes
- Power cycle the phone
- Go to Settings > Cellular >Turn on Cellular Data
- The phone should connect to a different cell tower with a better connection.
- Power cycle your phone every morning
- Go to Settings> General > Storage, if the used capacity is more than 2/3 of total capacity, please move vids, photos and other things to cloud or a computer and make free capacity at least 1/2 of the total.
- Find top 3 apps using the most space. Go to Settings> General > Storage, swipe up and record them.
- Find top 3 apps using the most data. Go to Settings> Cellular, swipe up and record them.
- For the most used apps, clear their caches and manage their storage in these apps' Settings.
*Please be aware that the action will erase all your Wifi login and Bluetooth connection info.
iPhone
1. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
2. Input your phone screen lock password and confirm the reset of network settings
3. Your phone will reboot and re-register with cellular network.
Android phone
1. Settings>System>Reset Options>Reset Network Settings
2. Input your phone screen lock password and confirm the reset of network settings
3. Your phone will reboot and re-register with cellular network.

Typical scam calls are those pretended from IRS, law enforcement agencies, T-Mobile, DHL and etc..
Hang up as soon as you recognize. If you are not sure after you pick the call, keep calm and most importantly, make sure that you give NO info about your bank account number, credit card number, pins, SSN, driver's license number, address etc.. A call with anyone asking such info must be a fraudulent call. Write down the calling number, the caller and time. Report the call to FCC, FTC, law enforcement agencies and our customer services.

5. If your phone is not an iPhone 4 or up, or Samsung S6 and up, you may have to check whether Settings > Cellular networks >APN (access point names) is: fast.t-mobile.com. If not, tap on Add or + to setup a new APN profile with APN name being: fast.t-mobile.com. Save the profile and
make it the active profile.
6. Reboot your cell phone
iPhone
1. Settings>Carrier>Turn off Automatic Switch
2. Wait for 2-3 minutes
3. Manually select carriers one by one in the list, see which can be registered
4. Compare registered carrier performance with last carrier then decide if stay with the new one.
Android phone
1. Settings>More>Cellular Networks>Network Operators>Search Networks

🌐 International calling rates
1. Unlimited free calls within North America US, Canada and Mexico. Minimum $3/minute from US, Canada and Mexico to any other countries. Please check https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/international-calling for details.
2. Rate is $0.20/minute for calls from a country in the 210 countries to any other countries in the 210 countries. Please check https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/roaming for details.
3. Data calls using data apps mostly are free. Please refer to the app you use for their rules.
WiFi Calling benefits:
- In a weak signal environment with 0-1 bars, WiFi Calling can make a quality call as if in a 4-5 bar environment.
- Unlimited free calls to/from US, Canada and Mexico when travel outside North America.
Use WiFi Calling:
- Settings>Phone>Turn WiFi Calling on This Phone switch on
- Connect to wifi
- Your phone should show “T-Mobile Wi-Fi”. If not, turn Airplane mode on then reconnect to Wifi to force phone to show “T-Mobile Wi-Fi”. That is T-Mobile WiFi state.
- When outside US, make sure that your phone shows “T-Mobile Wi-Fi”. In the state, it is unlimited free calls to/from US, Canada and Mexico. Otherwise, the calls will be charged per T-Mobile international call rates. Please note that your phone may not get to “T-Mobile Wi-Fi” state all the time due to limitations by local wifi providers.
- While in a WiFi Calling call, make sure that you stay close to the wifi source. Walking to a window where the cellular signal is stronger than the wifi signal may cause an automatic switch from a free call to a charged call.

- Find a valid T-Mobile SIM and insert in the phone, if you see the word "T-Mobile“, congratulations! Your phone can be used with our plan.
- Verizon phones are unlocked. iPhone bought in Apple stores are unlocked.
- AT&T phone are locked when in contract. It should have been unlocked automatically when out of contract. If not, use the URL https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KM1008728

- For others, contact the phone's operator for unlocking info.
- Insert an SIM into your phone and watch the phone status changes from No SIM to No Service to then showing T-Mobile, speed E, 4G, LTE or 5G. If there is no T-Mobile or signal strength symbol, your phone may not have been unlocked;
- If your phone is unlocked, test sound clarity by making a call and receiving a call.
- Send and receive a text message.
- Play a video, test if any hesitation.
If the SIM card passes all the above tests, then the SIM card is ready for use.
*Require an unlocked or T-Mobile network compatible phone.
Scenario 1: Sign up with a new number. Please give your name and address for us to mail a SIM to you. Once received, please insert it in to your phone and see if the word "T-Mobile" comes out. Give us a call at +1 908-665-1618 to activate the line or determine if your phone is locked.
Scenario 2: Port your phone number. The process comprises of a couple of steps but is seamless to you with no service interruption.
- Determine if your phone is unlocked. Your phone must be unlocked or T-Mobile compatible to go further to next step.
- Please call your current carrier to get account number, pin, and possibly address and zip as well, for example:
- ATT - Phone number, account number (on the upright corner of the bill) and pin
- Verizon - Phone number, account number(on upright corner of the bill) and set up a transfer pin
- Cricket - Phone number, account number and pin
- Xinfinity - Phone number, account number, pin, address, zip code and name
- Back up your voicemails with current carrier prior to the porting.
- We start porting with T-Mobile. It may take minutes to 24 hours.
- During the 24 hours, should you have to make a 911 call, please do NOT hang up but keep the call on so that 911 center can pinpoint your location.
- During the 24 hours, continue using your current carrier SIM in your phone. However, you must bring the T-Mobile SIM with you all the time, say keeping in your wallet and a pin as well for switching the SIMs. Once you can not go to Internet or make a call or send a text, switch the T-Mobile SIM into your phone and reboot the phone. That's it.
Please do NOT cancel your service with your current carrier, until your number has been ported successfully. Once your number has been ported, your previous service will automatically be terminated.
To set up your voicemail, dial your own phone number. Your default voicemail password should be set to the last 4 digits of your phone number.
If your password does not work please enter #793# and press Call to reset your voicemail password to the last 4 digits of the current active number on that line.
